Camp Hugh Taylor Birch

440 acre of woodland that serves Boy Scouts and non-Scouting communities on a year-round basis.
Includes a dining hall, an Olympic size swimming pool, a 10-acre lake, and many other facilities, lodge and four cabins.

Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve

One of the finest examples of post-glacial canyon cutting; scenic waterfalls and rapids on the headwaters of the Little Miami State and National Scenic River. 268 acre park with hiking trails through ancient rock formations.

Glen Helen Nature Preserve

A 1,000-acre nature preserve with waterfalls, limestone cliffs, beautiful woodlands and the Yellow Spring. 25 miles of hiking trails are open all year during daylight hours.  Visit the Trailside Museum, Nature Shop, Atrium Gallery, Raptor Center and the Outdoor Education Center.

John Bryan State Park

A spectacular 755-acre wooded park along the Little Miami River used for picnics, hiking and recreation including fishing, bow hunting, rock climbing & rappelling, canoeing, mountain biking and disc golf. Group campsites & day lodge available.

Little Miami Scenic Trail

A 78-mile trail that extends south from Yellow Springs to Cincinnati and north to Urbana.  Adjoining trails in the Miami Valley Trails network head east and west from Xenia.   If you find yourself wanting to ride the bike trail but without a bike, rent one at Corner Cone Dairy Bar & Grill.  Public restrooms are available at Yellow Springs Station in the heart of Yellow Springs.  Parking at the Bryan Center at 100 Dayton St.

Ellis Park
On Polecat Rd. (Walnut St.) 1 mile north of Yellow Springs
Serene pond with benches for contemplation, trails for hiking and shelters for picnicking.  Special features include the Lloyd Kennedy Tree Arboretum.   A great location for observing birds and other wildlife.  On the Ellis Spur of the Little Miami Bike Trail.
